Youth

General Rules

Youth age group: teen youth ten to grow very fast and have different needs and interests at different ages. It is recommended t divid the youth programs into ages 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-25 as much as possible. This is difficult in smaller community but can be done by training more parents to be mentors and by collaborating with nearby masjids.

Fun mixed with learn: youth do not like to sit and listen to lectures especially if they are long. By having the youth program as a sporting event with a meal followed by short session of Islamic knowledge, you would attract a lot more people, keep them interested, have them listen to the message and also build a tem with brotherhood

Network of care: youth do not have to be always on the receiving end. They can be trained in a reasonably short time and while being a student of older mentor, they can be a mentor to a smaller group of youger youth. This increases sense self-esteem, responsibility, brotherhood andcare. A pyramid like network should be established. Everyone should feel that they are part of a small and a big family. Everyone should be missed right away and checked on. The spirit of healthy competition can also be added between the branches.
